We recently stayed in Surin Park for a week and can attest to the experiences of others here that Surin Park delivers excellent service. The apartments are spacious and very well equipped. The property is slightly of the beaten track which means that it is quiet without being totally secluded. If you want the madness of the club scene, by all means go to Patong. If you wish to relax and enjoy your holiday, this is a good choice.

My wife and I stayed at Surin Park for a week in Mid May. Unfortunately they had our arrival time incorrect and we were stranded at the airport for an hour and a half getting hassled by taxi drivers (anyone that has been there could sympathise).
We were picked up by a very nice young man who took us to our accommodation.
On arrival we were checked in and shown to our room by Yudee, who was lovely during our whole stay. I must say there was a real Wow factor when we walked into the room. It was very spacious and well laid out, but the views of the mountains opposite and pool area were fantastic. We had a pool access unit, which is definitely worth the small extra cost. It was very convenient to be able to walk down just a few steps to the pool deck (although I imagine it could be quite noisy during the busy season).
We had a few minor maintenance issues but they were fixed very promptly and the staff were very friendly and smiling.
We ate virtually every day at the on site restaurant, and as we were just about the only ones there, had the best seat in the house and very efficient service. The food was very good and had variety. A very special thanks to Bao and Keah for their big smiles every day. What they lacked in translation (not their fault as we were in their country!) they more than made up for.
Thanks to the housemaids for making up our room each day. They made sure they did not impact on our holiday, even though we were around a lot.
Suzanne is a lovely host and we thank her for her courtesy and especially the "paper lantern" ceremony (certainly worth the 60 baht!).
My only suggestion to Suzanne and Yudee would be to get out of the office a bit more. It can be quite hard getting attention from the counter.
Surin Beach itself is quite nice. The sand is lovely and you don't get assled too much. It is only about a 10 minute walk from the apartments.
Overall we had a fantastic time at Surin Park. The atmosphere is very good and we would recommend it to others.
Room Tip: if you are going during the quite season, definitely upgrade to a pool access room.

As they say, there are always two opinions: the conventional one and the one of a lady. The conventional opinion is correct & comprehensible, but the lady's one is more interesting. Yet, to the place like this there can't be two opinions, and I completely agree with my brother - Surin Park is... simply gorgeous! As soon as you make it there you start feeling yourself like home. Same friendly staff, magnificent view to hills and Bang Tao beach or coconut palms, tasty tiny pancakes on breakfast and, certainly, dearest second-to-none Susan. Last April I've described Surin Park as the place of "impossible not to return to" grade. Well, just as my rating implies, I've returned here this May. And I can really say that it felt quite calming, as if I've virtually returned home from some long (and sometimes not too pleasant) journey.
Everything was on it's right place, same stuff (with some new useful additions like stereosystem for iDevices or the wall clocks), same staff (with something that felt like new level of English), dearest Susan capable of to attending all over the place at once (that's the level of time-management capabilities one has to aspire to!), same great views (we've found that two-bedroom apartment of the 4th floor also offers a serene scenery of palm tress waggling gracefully). It's all still there, even some bit-too-slow-breakfast ;)
The place appears to undergo some reformations, so it's really curious to see how it turns. Surely it would be for the best, the course was set correctly. I can tell: Wi-Fi is free now :)
P.S. Dear Susan, should you transit through Moscow in winter, our offer hasn't expired! ;)

We are a family of five (kids 14,11 and 7). Surin Park was fantastic from the time we were met at Phuket Int Airport to the time we were delivered back there. The 3 bedroom apartment was spacious, clean and very, very comfortable. We spent many evenings out on the balcony. The staff were very, very good. Access to both beaches was a short stroll (or a tuk, tuk if a little tired late at night coming from Bang Tao). We arranged a private speed boat for the day to Phang Nga - again, all was sensational. The kids had a great time - as so did we. Thanks - we look forward to coming back!!

First of all, can I say, what a credit Susan is to the Surin Park. I booked privately through the internet from UK and cannot fault the information and service provided. We finished our stay in Phuket with one night at the Surin Park. The apartment was spacious, clean and very well presented. Unfortunately, a storm prevented us from venturing further from the apartment but this was not a problem for us (as we were only here for one night). We had views of Bang Tao beach and the mountains. We had room service from the restaurant which was very pleasant. I would recommend a stay here.

Have stayed in various part of Phuket before but nothing as good and relaxing as Surin Park. The accommodation was spacious clean and comfortable. My stay was at the time of my birthday and was very surprised to come home to a birthday card signed by all the staff and a Latern to light and wish upon and later a small birthday treat of cake and ice cream this in itself to me was going that extra mile :) The staff never had any problems with accommodating your needs such as booking tours, or taxis. They have a fantastic little restaurant on site that caters to all tastes. Situated between Surin and Bang Tao beaches you can choose between the two, Bang Tao being the less crowded. At the end of the driveway and left is a great place to hire Mopeds and the lady there will do you a great deal, the bikes are new and well maintained. I would highly recommend hiring a moped for your stay as this is a great way to see places you wouldn't normally see, even f its your first as it was mine it was an amazing experience. I would surely recommend Surin Park to singles, and families alike as this place has all the mod cons needed for a fantastic yet relaxing holiday. I am writing this review almost a month after my husband, 2 children and I stayed here; however, I enjoyed my time so much it is still very clear in my mind how wonderful our stay was. This was our first visit to Phuket and I am glad we decided to spend 3 days here before heading to the hustle and bustle of Patong. After a very long flight from Australia we arrived very late at the airport. I am pleased that I had arranged a private transfer to meet us as the airport arrival area was chaotic. We were picked up by a driver and driven safely to Surin Park. We were met by a security guard who had a key to our pool access apartment. very easy and much needed after such a long flight. I won't go on about the apartments; what you see on the internet is what you get! Clean, spacious and good quality apartments. The pool is lovely, and perfectly clean. The little area where you had breakfast was peaceful. I found nothing wrong with the breakfast, you could order what you liked. similarly, free wi fi has been introduced and we had no problems getting access.
Some other pieces of information that might be handy:
Organising a private driver to take you around the island is a great way to go where you want. We had a great driver who was very obliging.He was also a very safe and considerate driver and I never felt concerned about our safety. The roads in Phuket as narrow and are shared by cars, motor bikes, mopeds and lots of traffic;
The penthouse apartment was fantastic. We had this booked for our second night and onwards. I am reluctant to write this because it might become so popular that I might not be able to book it again when I return!!The rooms were massive, the jacuzzi worked, the view was peaceful and the roof top was a fantastic place to have dinner;
The private chef and associated dinner was second to none. We arranged a meal for the four of us and I would rate this as a highlight of our stay. My daughter, who is incredibly fussy ate morning glory- a spinach dish!! She asks us back home if we can cook it because it tasted so nice;
The staff-we found them to be so very friendly. Yes... there is a language barrier and conversing in English can be hard. But hey, we were in another country so I think it is our problem when we don't always understand what was being said to us, not the staff's!!Having said that, we still managed to communicate with everyone;
Susan is a credit to the place. As previous reviews have mentioned, I found her incredibly professional. From my very first email and many thereafter, she always responded to my numerous questions. She was also very easy to deal with in person;
The location - There is no doubt Surin Beach is quiet but this was what I wanted. I wanted to start my holiday by relaxing and getting used to being in Phuket before moving on to stay near our friends at Patong. It was a lovely location and the beach was great. There is a convenience store down the hill about 15 minutes away, the beach itself is 10 minutes walk, there are a couple of laundromats near the convenience store where you can get your washing done for around $5 for a massive bag of stuff and there are plenty of places to eat.
In summary - I can't wait to return next year!! If you want to stay in a self contained apartment as opposed to a small hotel room, experience genuine warmth and Thai friendliness, be away from the craziness of Patong but still be near enough for an easy day visit, then you can't go wrong staying here. As you can no doubt guess, my family and I felt so welcome here. We still talk about the day we left. Most of the staff made the effort to come and wave us goodbye as we boarded our mini bus to go to our next accommodation. We felt really sad to go; and that say it all I think!

We stayed in 2 bedroom penthouse, lots of space with everything one would require and MORE, Accommodation was very clean and bright. Views from top deck of the apartment were superb. Staff were very quiet but extremley obligung. We had a few minor issues but were sorted out upon our request very quickly. Our only dissappointment being that the jacuzzi was not working attempts were made to repair the fault but unfortunately not in time to enable us to take full advantage of the facility on our deck. All in all recommend Surin Park to those who do not want the hussle and bustle that is found elsewhere.

Surin Park has great location only about 400 m from Surin Beach and almost the same from Bangtao Beach. We really enjoyed to have meals in our own balcony (great room service). To be honest, it was my sister who did the pick, for which I'm very grateful to her. To begin with, it's Surin Beach, so you get more seclusion & serenity compared to, say, Kata (let alone Patong). The place itself is next to splendid with not numerous yet quite efficient staff, from which Mrs. Susan Borvornpotsakul's being a paragon of operativeness & flexibility.
I'd recommend you to take a penthouse, like we did. Apart from being quite spacious itself (spacious terrace is not excluded either), you'll also get a roof area, where arranging for a private-chef-dinner is an absolute must: for a quite decent rate you'll get a magnificent treat to remember, all in fresh air and with a view to hills & sea.
The laundry service tends to be not too swift sometimes, but one can live with that for sure. And yo, huge breakfast lovers, it's about time you start some short diet in here! ;)
Will definitely try to find my way back there sometime in a future...

The pool was completely sheltered from the sun in the afternoon which was great for families with small children. Breakfast was limited but otherwise tasty and fresh. Just returned from 9 nights at the Surin Park (4th March 2012) where we had a really lovely stay. The apartment was very spacious with 3 good size bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We were greeted by cold fruit juice and cold towels in the fridge which were very welcome. Everything was very well thought out and the smallest things such as mosquito repellents were also provided. We were also provided with lovely robes and room slippers. The apartment had fantastic views over Bang Tao bay with the only criticism being the neighbours cockeral on the opposite side of the road which woke our guests in the front bedroom early every morning. Breakfast was basic but sufficient.
The balcony was also really spacious and we had the luxury of the rooftop terrace where we held a pre-wedding party helped by Susan and her lovely staff. Take advantage of the chef who cooked us some lovely finger foods for our evening. Be careful if it rains however as the roof does not cover the whole of the balcony and I did have quite a nasty fall on the wet tiles.
The only downside (which was not a reflection on the Surin Park) was an elderly relative being approached by two men on a moped who tried to snatch her handbag. Advice would be to stay together and be aware of being approached.
Overall, an excellent stay at the Surin Park, very clean and a fantastic service from Susan and her team.

I only stayed for 2 days so I could not get the real experience this place is really about, which is independent catering. Once you have gone out to eat for 3 days in a row its grate to just chill out in the apartment, and cook something on your own (at list this is my way). Location is great..a little stroll away form Surin beach, and renting a vehicle gives you complete freedom to explore more beaches too, plus shopping and supermarket nearby. I would suggest this hotel for families that like to cook a home meal now and then or group of friends ( they have 2 bedroom apartments too which are great for 2 couples or family with 2 kids.
the one bedroom where I was was huge, it could easily accommodate 4 ppl (2 in the bedroom and 2 in the living room)if only they had a sofa bed there. But the room policy i think is 2max...plus I think they can get you an extra bed for a kid..but that's it...a real waste of space in my opinion.
Rooms are well decorated and feel brand new, air con is a bit loud, which is what I have found in 3 hotels out of 3 around Thailand.

Surin Park Apartment Hotel sits on a hill covered with coconut and other palms and has no immediate neighbors. My one bedroom apartment was modern and spacious with a balcony facing the hill (some apartments have a partial view of the Bangtao beach); it was very quiet and private, perfect for writing a book. In addition to this activity I also enjoyed morning walks (less than 10 minutes) to nearby beaches to jog there, swim, or snorkel (snorkeling was OK but not spectacular). It is not an isolated place: several convenience stores and a variety of good restaurants are within the same walking distance (or less). The road along the Surin beach is a restaurant row, seating is on the beach and you can also buy fresh fruits there. The staff at the hotel is very helpful with arranging longer excursions on Phuket or beyond.
